This website is divided into three sections:

A Newborn Handout.  This is a handout that Washington Pediatrics composed several years ago.  At one time it was printed and handed out.  Now it is a web based document.  Many pediatric offices provide handouts for new parents but few have as much detail as this handout and website.  This particular section is designed to help you through the first month of your infant's life.

An Illness Handout is also a revision of a  previously printed handout.  This handout contains information that will helpful you understand your child's illness.  Hopefully it will decrease the number of phone calls and visits that you need to make to the office by providing you with a knowledge base to asses your child.  However, it is not a substitute for an office visit.  As a picture is worth a thousand words so is a visit to the office.

FAQs or Frequently Asked Questions is a new section that is designed to provide quick reference with easy to follow directions.  It contains information on medications and their doses.

In addition to the handouts there are links to other sites that provide useful and accurate information.

Finally, this material is available in compact disc that contains White Pages of websites and additional information not yet included on this website.
